Stunning mid-century pieces, these vintage Japanese porcelain donburi lidded bowls were part of a personal ceramics collection of an old family friend — only used for special occasions and guests. Each is a delicate porcelain, their bases hand painted in a rich brick red and detailed with a pattern of black peonies, outlined in white. We love the way the pattern wraps around the rim to join the lid and become a striking decorative piece.
