The thick glass of these Showa-era oval dessert dishes emphasise the textured v-shape ripples on their bases. We think the pattern looks a like the wake behind a rowboat drifting down a river, and as dessert bowls, they look great on any surface.
The previous owner had seven of these and parted with the ones here because she says they are so sturdy, she only needed four — "I think they will last forever."
