Invigorating as an exfoliating dry brush and stimulating when bathing, the sisal bristles of the Kamenoko's Handled Body Brush are a stiff but gentle on the skin. Hand-coiled onto stainless steel wire, the round brush head sits on a rubber wood handle — designed for reaching the back and shoulders. Its bristles soften over time for a personal experience and each brush is complete with a cotton cord for hanging.
The bath and body collection is new to Kamenoko Tawashi's brush range. It takes the softer bristles of sisal, a natural and sustainable material derived from agave. Firmer than jute, it offers deep exfoliation where needed, can help with reducing cellulite and boost circulation.
Kamenoko Tawashi was established in 1907, when founder Nishio Shozaemon invented the looped tawashi (scrubbing brush) for kitchen use. Interestingly, he originally designed a hemp palm doormat, but when he saw his wife using a section of a mat to clean shoji screen doors, the idea of scrubbing brushes was born.

Care Instructions: Discontinue if it doesn't suit skin. Rinse well after use, drain and dry. Sun-dry periodically. Do not pull our fibres as it may cause shedding. Fibres may occasionally discolour blue from copper piping in local water systems, this is harmless.
