NIMI HINOKI CHOPPING BOARD

Crafted from single pieces of Shimanto Hinoki - Japanese cypress harvested through responsible forest-thinning - this chopping board brings one of Japan's famed natural materials into the everyday kitchen.  It's a sustainable, lasting alternative to plastic.

Hinoki's fine, close grain is soft and exceptionally gentle on knife edges, while its natural lightness makes it easy to use and store. The wood's high concentration of phytoncides and essential oils give it inherent antimicrobial, antibacterial and mould-resistant properties. No treatments, no additives, just a natural scent of calm, woody warmth with a faint citrus note.
