KAWAI
Established in 1943 in Obama, Wakasa, a region famed for producing 80 percent of Japan’s chopsticks, Kawai combines modern techniques and Japanese craftsmanship. It's particularly well-known for its more traditional wakasa nuri lacquer chopsticks, patterned with eggshells, seashells and pine needles, while its contemporary series bring minimalism to the fore with clean lines and a focus on highlighting natural materials.
