Artist and creative director Amy Croft has an affinity for Japanese design. Her influences include the colour research of Sanzo Wada, founder of the Japan Standard Color Association in 1927 (present-day Japan Color Research Institute), and traditional textile techniques. All her textile pieces are original one-off works, hand-crafted by herself in Margate, Kent, where she also runs the unique, design bed and breakfast Modja Modja House.
