Sakura Souffle ballpoint pens write in soft, matte colour that dries to a slightly raised line. Run a fingertip across a word and you can feel it, like a thin brushstroke of paint. The opaque ink holds its colour on dark card, kraft paper and photographs, where most penmanship can disappear. It also works on hard surfaces such as mirrors and picture frames, so a message decorate an object as easily as on a page.
The 0.8mm ball gives a smooth, rounded 0.6mm line, ideal for lettering, journalling and decorating cards and gift tags. Allow two to three minutes for the ink to dry fully for it to become waterproof and fade resistant. On non-porous surfaces the ink sits on top rather than soaking in, so it suits decoration rather than use as a permanent marker.
We love the range of colours: six chalky, sweet tones that look like sugared almonds, each with a matching cap.
