Aichi-born Masao Takahata is an illustrator and artist with a penchant for traditional Japanese motifs, such as the Hokkaido grizzly bear.
His Birthday Bear Card is designed to be framed flat, showing an adorable brown bear waving from a hilltop as birds fly over a charming house in the valley below. In the sky, lightly embossed fluffy white clouds surround a bright red sun.
Embossing adds texture to the Birthday Bear Card, which comes with a matching illustrated envelope.
