Never used, this Arita porcelain tokkuri sake bottle was rescued from the vintage deadstock of a family-run kitchen and tableware store. We thought it was too pretty to be left in storage!
Glazed in a deep, rich and textured brown, three circles are left exposed, revealing white porcelain below patterned with blue underglaze. The hand-painted patterns are different in each circle — sea-like swirls, seigahara waves and naname-goshi diamonds.
