When it comes to Saburo’s artisanal glassware, petite works are just as beautiful as a dining table centerpiece. These dainty glass bowls, perfect as dessert dishes or display trays for trinkets and jewellery, still showcase the glass artists’ beautiful water-inspired mosaic pattern. Individually handmade, each is a joy to behold and hold, and one of a kind.

Based in Yatsuomachi in Toyama, a prefecture famous for its glass production, Saburo focuses on tableware centerpieces inspired by Lake Biwa, a place close to its artisans Mitsuhiko and Yuki Nakata's hearts, and imbued with Japanese culture. Colours are developed after much experimentation, and all the works are kiln formed, involving a meticulous process of temperature-controlled firing, sanding, moulding and re-firing.
