The Tetoca series of chopsticks are all made from woods of fruit-bearing trees. Beneath the simplicity of each pair lies a delicate beauty that we just love. Each wood has its own unique colour, grain pattern and texture, highlighted by the chopsticks’ faceted sides that taper to a square end, a design that makes them easier to grip and use. All natural, each is finished in beeswax for a subtle glow.
We have picked our favorite fruits, each also a traditional motif in Japan: rich and dark Persimmon, auburn Peach, warm Mandarin with a hint of orange, Chestnut light tan, and pale Japanese Plum (prune) of pink undertones.

Made in Obama, Wakasa, a region famed for producing 80 percent of Japan’s chopsticks, Tetoca are made by Kawai, a manufacturer founded in 1943. Combining modern techniques to traditional craftsmanship, Kawai is well-known for its wakasa nuri lacquer chopsticks, patterned with eggshells, seashells and pine needles. Its contemporary series bring minimalism to the fore with clean lines and a focus on highlighting natural materials.
