This vintage Japanese ceramic dish is handmade and has delightful rustic imperfections of shape. Its lightly speckled porcelain is contrasted with a geometric flower motif in blue, while a soft brown edge gives the piece extra warmth. The last surviving piece of several that were used in a ryokan (traditional Japanese inn), this dish is a lone beauty.
We think it’s perfect as a trinket tray, or just a simple but pretty objet d’art.
