FUROSHIKI - REVERSIBLE PINE YELLOW-GREY LARGE
Each circular design of this extra-large reversible furoshiki wrapping cloth is drawn from Japanese traditional wagara patterns of nature. Pine needles stretch out like snowflakes, leaves or petals become crest like motifs and rivers spread out into tributaries.
There’s so much to love about this, it’s ideal for fashioning into a bag, large enough to wear as a scarf and so cheerful as gift wrap. Perhaps best of all, it’s also reversible — summery yellow on one side and subtle pale grey on the other.

In 2005, the Kyoto-based Musubi opened its first store dedicated to furoshiki in Tokyo, but it has been designing and making the wrapping cloths for decades. Now working with various other furoshiki makers in Kyoto and collaborating with numerous designers and illustrators, it produces an eclectic range of vibrant patterns and styles — from traditional to geometrically modern. Every design takes in consideration types of fabric and printing processes, and if not made by the company itself, is carefully matched with the ideal maker.
