Wrap a white CMY around a plant pot. Then water the plant and watch the cover gradually change to lively bands of summery yellows, pinks, greens and blues. Kami no Kousakujo says to pronounce the CMY as “shimmy,” since it transforms the ordinary plant pot with colors that shimmy upwards toward the foliage. This bright idea involves a ring of inked dots absorbing water and naturally seeping into a separation of colours, so each one will always look unique.
This CMY/Pot Cover Nami has a waved rim to add extra drama, see the CMY/Pot Cover Straight for a more subtle flat topped version.
In 2006, Fukunaga Print, a paper company already renowned for innovative packaging solutions, began the Kami no Kousakujo (Paper Workshop) project to research and develop new and novel uses of paper. Since then, it has collaborated with numerous contemporary designers to produce a lineup of inventive and unusual stationery, games, objet and homewares, all constructed from the company’s range of quality paper and card.
