This new style of paper bag is set to be a contemporary minimalist classic. A sturdy circular base plate keeps it stable and upright, while the flexible paper makes it ideal for storing dry goods, snacks or vegetables. All white or grey, but accented with a coloured base in bold blue, mint green or lemon yellow, the bags can also be folded or cut to a preferred height. Rotate the circular base and clip into place, then fold out the bag to the desired shape. It couldn't be simpler, yet is so clever.
In 2006, Fukunaga Print, a paper company already renowned for innovative packaging solutions, began the Kami no Kousakujo (Paper Workshop) project to research and develop new and novel uses of paper. Since then, it has collaborated with numerous contemporary designers to produce a lineup of inventive and unusual stationery, games, objet and homewares, all constructed from the company’s range of quality paper and card.
