An unusually large Japanese tea cup, this vintage Arita porcelain piece was used on display as a trinket box for many years before being passed on to us. Its motifs of four circles are hand-painted in underglaze with depictions of Japanese children, dressed in kimono, playing in a garden of flowers — a little traditional, but also a little playful.
