It's the "imperfections" of craft process that make this deep blue hand-blown plate perfectly beautiful. Like a frozen pool, tiny bubbles are trapped inside, while the three crimped edges give it a subtly different shape.
Made in the mid-century, when art glass was particularly popular in Japan, this is a heavy piece, bold in colour, rich in visual texture and smooth to the touch.
