An absolute favourite of ours, the Pink Fuji Tea Set is a signature piece of the porcelain kiln Fukugawa Seiji. Founded in the late 17th century, Fukugawa Seiji specializes in Arita porcelain and fine bone china. The exquisite Mount Fuji design was originally conceived over 100 years ago to showcase the company's then-pioneering air-brush gradation underglaze technique perfected by the first-generation Chuji Fukagawa.
Beautifully detailed, Mount Fuji is depicted in the soft pink glow of sunset, rising beyond a mountainscape in countless shades of traditional Arita blue. This set, which includes a side-handled yokode teapot and five cups, all featuring Mount Fuji, is no longer made, making it a collector's piece.
