A lightweight handy stainless steel cup, we think the Elfin mug is great for camping trips or in the home. Made in Tsubame, Niigata, the heart of Japan’s metalware industry, it’s great for drinks but also colourful enough to use as a pen pot or plant holder. Each one is hand spray-painted in a dusky hue to match any kitchen, dining or desk space, and fitted with a boxy natural wood handle evoking the great outdoors.
Elfin is produced by Takakuwa, a metalware company, specializing in cutlery. Founded in 1961 in Tsubame, Niigata, home to Japan's famed metalworking industries, it combines contemporary design with a range of finishes from burnishing to enamel.
